On Friday 27th January 2012, Heather Small appeared on the ITV1 breakfast TV show ‘Daybreak’ to discuss the London 2012 Olympic Games, six months before the Opening Ceremony.

Heather stated that the Olympics will leave a long term legacy that will inspire the youth and other young athletes to work hard and be self-motivated. She went on to talk about her song ‘Proud’ which was the official song for the London 2012 Olympic Bid back in 2005. She talked about writing a song that recognised and celebrated day to day little achievements which we should be proud of every day. Heather also said she has not yet been asked to be part of the Olympic celebrations.
